AMERICAN WONDER WOMAN

The American Wonder Project is a multidisciplinary, multimodal, performance-art protest. This project includes a 40-minute short film, various live performances, and guest-teaching advocacy work with youth and young adults. Past teaching residencies and workshop programs:

EMBODYING COURAGE WORKSHOP

  • Girl Inspired Conference 2018 - Facilitator: 1-day workshop for young women to embody confidence, courage and compassion, thereby practicing self-empowerment and sisterhood.

  • Will C. Wood Middle School - Guest Artist Residency: 5-day curriculum for junior high girls to embody confidence, courage and compassion, thereby practicing self-empowerment and sisterhood.

  • Columbia College South Carolina - Guest Artist Residency: Week-long curriculum for transitional aged women utilizing performance and somatic practices as a means for empowerment, activism, and social change.

RAGE TO RADIANCE WORKSHOP

  • Wellspring Women's Center: 2-day support group for women-activists to explore the Wonder Woman archetype as a model of self-care.

CAMP COURAGE

  • Location TBD: 3-week summer camp for youth, ages 8-11 years old grounded in social-emotional skills and regulation. Developing strong bodies, minds, and hearts by engaging in yoga, dance, and art-based activities to encourage self-empowerment, team-work, collaboration, and creative problem solving skills.
